This year’s CaterUp! Conference will feature insight from more than 25 industry leaders across the catering landscape, from Dunkin’ Donuts to Chic-fil-A, Boston Market, P.F. Changs, Firehouse Subs, and more. CoreLife Eatery president and former Panera Chief Concept Officer Scott Davis and Memzy founder Carmen Simon will be the keynote presenters at the inaugural conference, which is presented by ezCater and takes place in New Orleans from April 29 – May 1.
Davis, who is known for his successful transformation of Panera Bread into the catering space, will speak about synergizing brand strategy and catering operations, while Simon will use her expertise as a cognitive neuroscientist to delve into engaging customers’ brains so that they will remember your brand over the rest.
Additionally, ezCater will release a report containing all-new industry research from Technomic, a research and consulting company that’s been providing insight into the industry for 50 years and who recently put the catering market in America at $61.5 billion. The report will highlight industry operators’ views on the overall effect of catering on their business as well as success stories and plans for future investments.
According to ezCater’s Chief Marketing Officer David Meiselman, “The data we will share from our own marketplace and the research conducted by Technomic will bring new insight to the industry. Likewise, the industry leaders who will speak have an amazing amount of experience to share with their peers, and we are very excited to bring them together in New Orleans.”
There will also be a technology panel led by experts from Google and Kitchen United, who will touch on the latest technological innovations within the industry. A consumer insights panel will shed some light into catering buyers’ expectations, frustrations and personal preferences regarding catering services. Attendees will also get a sneak peek at new products and services from suppliers such as DeliverThat, Chowly, and Canary Marketing, as well as a chance to network with other restaurant leaders.
The company behind the conference, ezCater, was founded in 2007 in Boston. Since then, they have become the largest marketplace in the world for corporate catering, connecting more than 60,000 local catering companies with businesses all over the country. They also curate a list of the best caterers available in over 20,000 cities and towns in the US. In an effort to expand internationally, ezCater recently acquired the Paris-based catering platform GoCater.
Although early bird registration has ended, passes for the conference are still available for $499, and cover all sessions, receptions, meals, and keynotes, and will also offer hotel discounts. For more information, visit www.caterup2019.com.
